Wharminda Primary School is a small school on the Eyre
Peninsula approximately 20km inland from
Pt Neill and 100km north of Pt Lincoln. Our school
is situated in a geographically isolated farming community. The
Wharminda community has access to a community hall and library,
a CFS shed run by locals and tennis courts.
Facilities
are available for pre-school children with playcentre
occurring once a week on the school grounds. This enables children
to interact with school students and to become familiar
with school life.
Students at
Wharminda Primary School are encouraged to be
involved in learning about their environment.
This includes visits to local Land-care sites, propagating trees
and working in the schools gardens.
